Hi Alan. You know—your comments are actually very reflective of much of the stuttering research I’ve read circa 1930! Back in the day, they seemed to place much more emphasis on the precise taxonomy of speech disorders. As such, the words “stuttering” and “stammering” had different meanings, unlike today. Anyway--it seems that those on your side of the pond remain a bit more proper in its use… :)
