Ms. Spillers, I have found your article to be very informative and helpful in regards to giving strategies on how to deal with "demons" that one may face. During interview/assessment, do you suggest that the clinician gather information from the client on what the religious views/spirituality ideas are? If the views are similar to what the clinican believe, then some strateties can be used to help the client to feel more comfortable? In the the event they are completely different, then using the basic concepts in your article is probaly more appropriate? Clearly, I haven't had the privilege of taking a seperate counceling course, although counceling has been discussed in some of my classes. I just need some clarity. Thanks!
