Hi Kristen Thanks for your question and kind comments. You've caught me in a reflective mood. Sometimes I think that staying on at school would have resulted in my going to university at 18 and making a successful career at a much earlier stage. To be honest, I spent many years feeling very inadequate because I had no qualifications. I worked in a manual job (in a warehouse) for several years, knowing that I had potential for better things, but with constant (and very loud) voices of doubt. This was a most unpleasant time in my life. It's strange that participating in this conference has re-opened emotions that had been locked away for a long time, something which has taken me rather by surprise. Rather therapeutic, I suspect!
