Hi Martha, I would draw lines when there is EVIDENCE that a term is pejorative--not before. For example, it appears that there may be reason for using "person with psychosis" over "psychotic." Another way to think about it, based on the similarities in results from the studies with a wide variety of respondents, is to ask oneself, "If I did not have a political or advocacy agenda, would this term connote something more negative than the condition itself?" If the answer is no, then why make up a new term? I hope this clarifies my position. Ken
