Mr. St. Louis, Thank you for sharing your thought provoking findings about the use of person-first terminology verses "stutter." In a society that is so intent on being PC, it's interesting that people rarely bring up the issue of who is deciding what term is better and where is the data to support these conclusions. It boils down to each individual's preference on how they prefer to refer to themselves. I will most likely continue to use person-first terminology because I could rather irritate someone with the excess verbiage of "person who stutters" than offend someone who stutters.
