I am a graduate student in speech pathology and the instructors at our university have spoken to us about the same issues you addressed in this article. We were taught that it is best to use person who stutters. But now after reading your article I see that different individuals have different perspective and get offended by different terms. As a good rule of thumb how do you think a future clinician should refer to stuttering?
