Mr. St. Louis, Thank you for sharing your ideas with us! I found it very interesting that person first language has not been found to lessen the negativities portrayed by the use of labels. I especially enjoyed reading the comments by others who shared their insights as to how they preferred to be addressed. I have always been taught to use person first in school, but I can see how that may not always fit the individual. It was a great concept for all of us to consider. I personally will try to be more aware, and ask my clients how they would like to be referred to. Thanks again!
