Dear Kim, I have replied--sometiimes a bit too curtly--to this conclusion. Please see my explanation in the reply to everyone. Personally, I don't see any reason to ignore the data, but, of course, if someone were adamant about being referred to as a "person who stutters," I'd comply. But, as I have also written repeatedly, I never address stutterers with such labels, I use their names. So it almost becomes a moot point. How people refer to themselves is their own business it seems to me. Best wishes, Ken
