Dear Melissa, Thanks. Yes, there is at least one quote from a person who would like SLPs to ask him/her how he/she would like to be addressed. But, most of the other 98% of the artice, including the data that I reported, suggest that this is not necessary at all. Sometimes, by trying not to offend anyone, we end up being wishy-washy and vague. That does not bode well for good therapy in my opinion. Good luck, Ken
