Mr. Sugarman- I really enjoyed reading your presentation. As a graduate student clinician in Speech-Language Pathology, I found the information you presented to be very resourceful. It was refreshing to get an inside perspective from an individual who had personal experience with stuttering. It's difficult to know exactly what a person who stutters is experiencing-emotionally, socially, academically and in all other realms of life. Your explanations and personal examples were useful to my understanding of the stages. I also found it helpful that you incorporated intervention from a therapist’s point of view and what the most important aspects are in regards to assisting an individual in making positive life changes. Thank you for your insight!
