Dear Mr. Sugarman, Thank you for the wonderful therapy tool. It will be a great thing for me to share with future clients. As I read the stories of people who stutter, I keep thinking about the word "control". It seems that people who stutter are able to work on the emotional and attitudinal aspects of their stuttering after they have some other area of their life under "control" like their career, or a relationship, or the like. Middle school and high school students are usually far from getting all the different aspects of their lives under control and rarely have one thing that they are really good at. When you worked on steps five and six, did you have some other aspect of your life under your control? Was there any one thing that you could point to and say that you were really good at? Something from which you could draw strength? Sincerely, Mark
