Hi, Michael. I haven't taken as close a look at this paper as I would like to comment on it at this time; I'm sorry about that. It appears as though you put considerable thought into it so I want to read it quite carefully, which, unfortunately, will have to be later. >>> I hope you don't mind that I would like to ask you something unrelated to your paper: As the only person I know who has been and continues to work with people who suffer from HIV and/or AIDS, I would like to know whether you have had opportunity to witness your clients or others' clients with these conditions practice Tonglen Meditation. This style of meditation, Buddhist in derivation, which is defined as "giving and taking," is being taught by Pema Chodron. She has stated that, while it does not cure people of those two conditions, it does seem to increase the quality of their life by bringing them some peace as the practice includes rather than distances them from the human community. I look forward to your response. If you would rather communicate with me later, please feel free to do so at esilverman@thespeechsource.com. Thanks, Michael. Best, Ellen-Marie
