I realize commenting on your exceptional use of metaphors to convey your knowledge of stuttering is abundant, but I must say WOW. This paper cleverly and clearly stated what I need to do in order to be a good clinician. I learned very much from you. A few things I especially enjoyed were "People are like plants needing particularly prepared soils..." This simile is beautiful. Each person is different and will require different approaches to therapy. One therapy that works for one person may not work for another. Your insight about how clinician's need to read journals of the profession and attend conferences is helpful for all as we need to keep up with the stuttering world to benefit yourself and your client. I also found very informational your advice about extraneous issues such as time, cost, and environmental/social/personal issues. Thank you for this paper. I have gained very important knowledge to help me become a good clinician. Ali
