I am a graduate student at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. I really enjoy reading the correlation you have made with gardening and fluency therapy. I enjoy dabbling in gardening myself and have seen the rewards of proper care and nourishment. I particularly thought that your insight into the SLP being a generalist but should really specialize by furthering developing their skills with the disorder was very well said. I have been working as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped for 11 years and have now gone back to school for the CMD graduate program. This is my own personal effort to further develop my skills. I realized that in fact I need more skills to truly help my students. The clinician who helps those who stutter must truly have more knowledge as well as confidence to be able to harvest the most abundant crops...
