Dr. Susca, I really enjoyed your article. I am currently a graduate student enrolled in a stuttering course. I find it interesting to see how young, future clinicians (myself included) are so anxious to learn "how to fix" a stutter (or any other speech-language disorder). Your article really puts into perspective that there is no one quick fix to something. You have made a beautiful analogy that I will carry with me along the way. There are so many clinicians out there who are reluctant to treat dysfluencies but this article gives a great outline and can make their fears less scary. Thank you.
