Growing up in California myself, and being an avid supporter of organic gardening, I was particulary drawn to your article. I believe that in this "field" it is quite common to engage in a quick fix. Using a miracle grow type of solution does not take into account the side effects that might be experienced later in the growing process. I especially believe that patience is a crucial virtue in any therapeutic relationship. While this makes sense to me and many others familiar with this stlyle of thoughtful therapy, there are many who are acclamated to the more common practices of "quick farming" or more instant gratification. When dealing with these types of clients or their families, what are some ways you might respond to someone who feels that progress is not being made in the time frame they deem as appropriate? Thank you for your beautiful correlation.
