In all honesty Chris, and I know that I'm one of the lucky one's, but my stuttered speech really does not bother me anymore. Oh, sure there are times when those old feelings of shame and embarrassment rear their ugly heads, but I'm not visited by them very often. I'm able to talk about, laugh about it, and joke about it. As Bernie Weiner posted on the NSA Chapter leader e-mail listserv, I even had the NSA's rising sun logo tattooed on my right arm. Some think I'm crazy (and wrong) for advertising like I do, but it sure works for me. This stuff I've written, while alot of it, is of course about me, it's not written for me. Funny, never thought of it like that before. I guess I write them to relate too and share a common bond with my fellow stutterer's, and hopefully inspire a few of them.
