Thanks for the kind words. When I write this stuff, I never know if it's any good or not. I think it might be, but until someone else says it is, then it really isn't. Does that make any sense? I think I've read maybe five poems at support group meetings. Our meetings usually run long, and therefore, we run out of time. That, and I don't like to impose, as poetry is not appreciated by a lot of people. As far as your other questions, some will tell you that they've stuttered since they've been born; well, I am not one of those, I've only stuttered since I began talking. Kinda a joke there, but it is the truth. I'm no scientist, so called professional, or SLP (though I have been often called a SOB), but everything I heard and read about indicate's that stuttering is geneic, and that most people are born predesposed (hope I spelled that right.)Some will say that a certain incident triggered their stuttering. Don't know about that one. Sure don't know what (if anything triggered mine.) Does everyone predesposed to stutter end up a as stutterer? I don't believe so; we're just the lucky one's I guess. Interestingly, one of the people who attends our support group meetings is a teacher in her late 40's who began stuttering a few years age due to a closed head injury. She brings a different prespective to stuttering. Hope I've answered your questions. I tried. If not, I hope your not mad; Lord love me, I'm just not that bright.
