Dear Gunar, thank you for your interest.

The protocol is used as a usual procedure in my LAB/Clinic at the São paulo University with SLP graduation/postgraduation students. They learn how to apply it well and it works. Several clinicians outside the University and also other Universities are using the protocol as part of their every day procedures. Unfortunately until this moment we do not have any information about differences when the protocol is used outside my LAB group. However, what we do know is that individuals who are not familiar with definitions of risk, public helth procedures have difficulties in using only the protocol. Some times somebody asks me: I think that is better a formal assessment. Until this moment the protocol has being efficent in determining the kind of procedure that should be adopted with each child. For each colour there is a different procedure. We do not have any experience in provinding different weighting factors for each of the fifteen items. The protocol has been used exctly as presented.

Hopfully I managed to answer your questions clearly. If you would like to have more information please let me know.

Sincerely, Claudia
