Dear Henny, C was only 4 months old when he suffered a brain hemorrhage. So C has always been as he is now, only even more effected by the brain damage than at present. He has had approximately 15 subsequent operations to correct some of the damage--all before I met him or he started in school so I don't know "clinicly" how he was before the operations, or what they have corrected for. C understands some sign language--we use it at the school because we have deaf children and children who have trouble speaking. C does not sign himself--does not want any physical contact with others unless he initiates it, so it is impossible use hand on hand training with him, at least if I want it to be a positive activity for him. I am hoping as he begins to trust us more that he will let us have contact with him. His case is interesting and at the same time puzzling and frustrating when I can't reach him. Your suggestions have been a great help. I will try to get in touch with Tourettes group here in Denmark. I will also try to stay in touch with you. Thank you again for your help.
