Some of the people I have met who have worked at Boeing stuttered. But they have never been directly either as my supervisors or subordinates, when I was an acting manager and lead engineer. I have known at least eight engineers, two technicians, two supervisors, and a Vice President (who rose through the ranks of engineering) who have stuttered. They rose or fell based on their technical ability not on whether they stuttered or not. The manager who hired me in as an acting supervisor lisped, and I thought that he was partial to me at that time because, in his eyes, I handled my stuttering well.
