Jimmy,
I had some weird speech therapy during a summer when I was in grade school. No help whatsoever.
I did not have any stuttering therapy in high school.
At the University I had speech therapy for two years. It helped me marginally.
What helped me is when I started to really work on my attitudes with a psychologist Albert Ellis in New York. He helped me unconditionally accept myself, whether I stuttered or not. And not to try to speak perfectly.
After that some of what I had been taught in speech therapy come to make sense and now I talk pretty much without a stutter. And I love to talk. No anxiety.
