Hi, Bobby.... I followed your story on Stutt-L, and I thank you for sharing it in this ISAD Forum. Three quick thoughts: (1) I think your message is a powerful one in terms of the the impact that student clincians can have. Maybe you can help empower student clinicians to get past the "but I am only a student" stage of their educational development. (2) Transferring new-found talking skills to the real word is one of the keys to ultimate success. Just being fluent in the therapy room is a far cry from the real world. (3) Stuttering, per say, need not be the grounds for illegal and discriminatory actions in employment situations. People in personnel departments, and those who interview persons who stutter, should not leap to false conclusions before investigating the entire circumstances. Your message to us is very powerful..... Thanks.
