Mr. Childers, I am a student in Speech-Language Pathology. I found your story to be very inspiring! It is amazing what all you have had to go through to get where you are. You have given me the desire to take the time and go outside of my normal boundaries, such as the clinic walls, and search for new experiences that my client may have to deal with in the "real world". I want to be that therapist that goes the "extra mile" in order to provide the best therapy possible. I thank you for your story and am glad that you have progressed with your speech. It just goes to show that a good attitude and perseverence goes a long way.
