As a student SLP, I thank you for sharing your story. We are given extraordinary guidance from our clinical supervisors as to what is the best way to support a client during the therapeutic process; however, as a student, you can't help but question it. One of my biggest fears in therapy is "Am I pushing too far." It's good to hear that even though I may be doing just that, it's worth it in the end. Lastly, your comments about your "support network" will remain with me. Therapy is not something a "therapist" gives to her "client". It is a journey they take together...and the more participants, the smoother the path. Thanks again!
