Excellent paper! Assessing a child's linguistic maturity and how it will affect fluency makes so much sense. So does the focus on teaching effective communication rather than perfect speech. It would seem once good communication and a healthy speaking self-conecpt has been established, fluency would gradually become easier. Maureen
