Hi, Kelly. As with all of stuttering, I believe it is very different for each child. There are children who are unaware of their stuttering. However, I have seen a very few 2 or 3 year olds who know they are having trouble and are very frustrated by it. The awareness and the frustration are diagnostic information which tell you that the child would profit from early intervention. THanks for your question.
