I remember not to long ago people saying that we shouldn't make the child aware of his or her stuttering or provide any service when they are young because we may "turn them into stutters." I am in agreement the early intervention has a far more positve prognosis than later treatment. But on the other hand I also believe there comes a point when the stuttering child has to be mature enough to want to take the guidance and direction from the therapist. Thanks for your overview!
