Hi Anne,

My son is a success story of a modified Lidcombe Approach. We only did praise in the beginning, because my husband was a victim of negitive corrections! But after about 6 weeks, we hit a plateau and wouldn't budge. We had to add some corrections and, followed them by a " I knew YOU could do it!".It worked. I am thrilled with this program, and my son is just about completely fluent. Why is it getting a bad reputation when it boosts confidence, and makes a child feel like he's in control?
