I am a graduate student at East Carolina University. I read another paper that was posted at this conference that was titled "25% Improvement" by Tom Klassen. The author discussed the fact that he had done research that supported the idea that people in close relationships with him actually viewed his stuttering as less mild than he himself did. If you think about your stuttering in this way, does it take some of the fear of talking away? Why or why not?

Do you think that stuttering therapy, as it is used today, helps set people who stutter up tp be able to accept the fact that they stutter, or do yo think that the therapy puts pressure on people who stutter to succeed, and if they do not then it is their fault, not the fault of the therapy? Why or why not?
