It's unfortunate such attitudes and negative thinking persist. I certainly agree with you that more attention should be given to individual differences in evaluating and treating. I believe it is the role and responsibility of the SLP to educate other professionals and disciplines that each stuttering case must be evaluated and treated on a case by case basis.
