It was mentioned in the article "Multicultural Considerations in the Treatment of Stuttering" that Cole (1989) identified several issues that may affect the service delivery process when involving multicultural individuals. One issue, in particular, stated said that there are more minority children born at risk for stuttering. I would like to know why minority children are considered more at risk for stuttering? If this is true, how did Cole identify the factors that places them at higher risks?
