Thanks for your comments. There is very little written about this topic and that's why we wrote the paper. I know of no studies that have looked at the effects of taking children on and off medication and its impact on stuttering. All of the literature I have found deals only with reported cases of children who have ADHD and stuttering or cluttering. Much of what we know comes from anecdotal evidence such that some children's stuttering gets worse on and off Ritalin and others get better. Obviously, we need more information about the effects of Ritalin on stuttering. I wish I had the data but I don't. I think this is something that we need to pursue.
