Until reading your paper, I had never heard of anything like this happening to a person who stutters. Something that I find of interest is whether or not these feelings that people who stutter display at the time of "dissociation" are consistent with "dissociation" feelings of a person who doesn't stutter. I know that I have experienced a feeling of "being outside of my body", especially when I am extremely nervous, and I am not a person who stutters. I was just curious as to whether there were any similarities between the two. A good point that you make and one that I find interesting is in regards to the fact that dissociation could affect the type of therapy that a person who stutters receives. Since I will be an SLP in the near future, I think that it is important to know whether the person you are treating has experienced these feelings, so as to alter the type of therapy.
