The threads on Stutt-L (and on several other stuttering discussion groups) provide an infinite number of ideas on topics. We absolutely NEVER EVEN COME CLOSE to running out of cool topics to talk about!
Regarding the publicity methods, the two best sources (from my experience) are...
1. Referrals from local SLPs. Get your SLPs involved in your chapter!
2. Newspapers. Featured stories are huge draws. Also ads in the "support group" sections.
3. Web sites. Increasingly people are becoming internet aware.
