One concept that we have been trying with our support group, in Royal Oak, Michigan, is to have more than one type of meeting each month. Our regular meetings are geared strictly for support, no therapy or practice involved. We also have recently begun having smaller meetings for people who want to work a little harder on their speech. They know that this "extra" meeting is for that purpose. And Jim, you are right, some amazing things happen when people just start speaking spontaneously, lives are changed and people begin to "open up." It is magic, for sure.
