First off, can I take from your comments that you are a drinker of Scotch. I knew there was something about you i liked. We'll have to imbide in one or two or ten in Anaheim. You mentioned the importance of motivated people in having a successful support group meeting. You are so right. A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link, and a support group is only as successful as it's membership allows it to be. For the first 4 and a half years of our chapter, we basically spun our wheels. One step forward and two steps back, and all that. I take the blame for that. I didn't do a very good job of running the meetings. Once the euphoria of starting our chapter wore off, I really began questioning if i wanted to continue. One month, I just didn't show up. Even after our groups sponser, Dr. Richard Merson, suggested I ask Bernie to be my co-chairperson, we still struggled. But then, about three years or so ago, something amazing happened. Suddenly we were inundated with a whole slew of fantastic people. We've went from a core group of 4-5 to one of 14-15. And the meetings, well, they are now the highlights of my month. Ironically, Russ Hicks is up here in Michigan for our workshop, 11 of us were out to dinner last night, and this is exactly what we were talking about.
