A flop? Not to me, but I've seen some conversations go down the tubes because nobody knows what they are talking about. Specific examples relate to high power intellectual stuff like effective drug use or brain function research. Some people think they know a LOT more about those topics than they really do, and they wind up spouting nonsense. As long as the topics (chickens) are kept simple and truly understandable by everyone involved, this technique works pretty well.
If I did really encounter a true flop - and it MAY still happen - I think I'd just throw in another chicken.
