Enjoyed the alligator/chicken comparison. Good to have lots of ideas for meetings. Speaking Circles work their magic every time at our group, also various fun games which also involve speaking. After throwing a "chicken" in to the pit I think that the facilitator should be aware of certain group dynamics ie a particular peron might try and talk over another, people might be left out etc. Good facilitation is more complex than it appears in your piece. The "chicken" is the catalyst of the discussion, it is not a product of facilitatorship.
