Hi Steve, What I think I meant in my post, was whether a covert stutterer, or any stutter for that matter, should feel shame or guilt for not always "advertising" their stutter. I just don't think that it is always possible to think about our stuttering. Actually, that would be pretty weird. :-) Myself, I like to grab hold of my fluent periods and run with it, enjoy the moment, if you will. Sometimes, it is more trouble to disclose our stuttering than it is worth. Does this make sense?
