Jeanne and Chris--

Maybe we have a misunderstanding. I thought Jeanne was asking if "coverters" feel **comfortable** with all their tricks, and I replied that I had never met such a person. I don't think they feel comfortable. But then Chris -- you said you are such a person.

But from what you have written, I would have thought that the price you paid for remaining covert caused some pretty hefty feelings of DIS-comfort.

But then if the tricks fail, and you do some overt stuttering, this is also discomforting, so at this point it is a lose-lose proposition.

We really need research in the area of covert-hidden-masked-ionteriorized stuttering. But alas, since the vast majority of coverters are not in therapy, and not members of a sup-port group such as BSA, CAPS, or NSA, etc, we do not have access to many of them.
