I found many parts of your article enlighting, but the one that really hit close to home for me was the part where you were explaining how the the stuttering community and the fluent community see you. Though it is different on many levels, my very close friend has explained the "look" to me regarding her ethnicity. You have an interesting perspective on acceptance. I think it is great advice. You are a great writer and the article was very educational! I, as a pathologist, will do my part to address the psychological aspects of stuttering with my clients.
