I found your article very inspiring. The summer camp program allows people who stutter, of all ages, to find others with similar feelings and experiences. The activities encourage the children to be comfortable with who they are and not to hide behind their communicative disorder. It even appears that some of the children, who participated in the camp, gained a sense of confidence that was not apparent prior to this experience. I was wondering whether any summer camp programs similar to this exist in the U.S.? Any in North Carolina? How would I go about locating one of these camps...do you have additional info?
