Gunars, Thank your very much for your comments and questions. I will try to answer your questions in the best way I can.

1) We have had a little contact with a man, a PWS, from Latvia. He also attended the Nordic meeting in Sweden few weeks ago. He is very interested in establishing something in Latvia and he is looking for partners inside and outside Latvia. His name is Ilmars Danilevics (I mail his e-mail address directly to you). 2) I don't think so either.

A) A starting point could be to contact Ilmars, and together with him contact the Latvian Ministries of Social Affairs, of Education, and of Health. I don't know anything about the system in Latvia, but maybe the ministries kan provide you with information about Speech Clinics, education as a speech therapist etc. B) If you establish a website in Latvian language you can do this from a server free of charge (like geocities) as a beginning. An important thing to do is to inform the Latvian public through the news about the new homepage. C) We have not made a FAQ-list, but I think I remember there is a FAQ on the Stuttering Homepage (Judy Kusters page). D) It's hard to say. But you should be aware, that it can take a long time to establish a Center. E) I don't know if there are any foundations or Governmental support-programmes in the US who support projects in the Baltic countries. F) The biggest amount of books, papers, videoes etc. at our library are in English, we also have some books and videoes in German. Of course we also have a lot in Danish, Swedish and Norwegian.

You are welcome to contact me on e-mail, Gunars. My e-mail address is: <pefk@dpu.dk>

Best regards Per
