This author provided wonderful and immediately useful information about dealing with teasing and bullying. I work with early elementary age students, and at this age, they are just beginning to become aware of their communication disorders. I am currently working with a few children who are "borderline" stutterers, they barely qualified for my services, based on state qualifications. I am also working with a child with vocal nodules who is being teased quite a bit. Many of these intervention ideas could be used with any child with a communication disorder.

I appreciated that this article really involved parents in the problem-solving process. I am printing this article and will be using the ideas this week!
