I am a stutterer and a mother of 2 children who don't stutter. No 1. I wish I had access to your story when I was a child. No 2. I am teaching my son of 9 years old how to handle being teased because as a stutterer growing up I had to deal with being teased constantly and I had to learn from an early age to have a sense of humour. My son is slightly on the plump side so I call him my pork chop and he calls me his double decker hamburger. This has helped him at school because now he thinks of me when he is teased and laughs back at the boys. He is much happier now.
