Some disfluencies are developmental and disappear as a child grows older. If a child is being teased at an early age, how young is too young when deciding to sit down and discuss teasing as a result of stuttering? or, should parents wait to see if what is presumed to be developmental disfluencies evolves into stuttering before sitting down to discuss this.
