Hello Mr. Hughes. Are these two stories fiction or true? I thoroughly enjoyed reading your paper. I am a graduate speech path student and for my fluency class I am learning to stutter. I am required to stutter with strangers. In my few attempts I have found it extremely embarrassing and I have already accrued avoidance behaviors. Basicly, I avoid the assignment when ever I can. Your paper did an excellent job of creating empathy within the reader. I only have to be hurt and embarrassed for an assignment. I would "crack" too if everyday I had to struggle to speak. And, everyday I couldn't be myself.

P.S. I thought your descriptive writing skills were great in THE RAGE.
