Mr. Hughes, Hi, my name is Deanna Cartee and I am a first year graduate student in Speech at East Carolina University. Both of your articles were touching and I am glad you shared your experiences. I think it is eye-opening for us that are in school or are already practicing SLP's to hear about experiences that occur to PWS so we can be more empathetic during therapy. After that day in your second grade class, did you begin receiving speech therapy?? Did your classmates mention "that day" to you again?? I thought it was really sweet that they gave you treats to make you feel better- kids really have bigh hearts! From your other article, I was wondering, Did you you go to the Fall Dance? Did you avoid situations in your adolescence, so people would not know that you stuttered?? Again, I really enjoyed your articles!!

Sincerely,

Deanna Cartee
