I am pleased that you teamed up to present this Panel. I am aware of the three groups based in the USA, and am glad to learn more about those in Sweden and Quebec. Thank you for sharing.

I have long believed that organizations such as those you represent (support, self-help, education, advocacy, etc.) -- together with the professional community -- represent a vital link in the understanding of stuttering, and ultimately to the prevention, early intervention, and the treatment of stuttering.

Although I worry that some people may not agree, I strongly believe that organizations such as yours should never be viewed as being in competition, even though there is some overlap. You each serve a vitally important mission in working with professionals, consumers, and the general public.

By making information available to the pubic in the form of video tapes, books, pamphlets, public service announcements, educational workshops, clinical and educational conferences, as well as conventions, etc, you help spread the good news that there are things that can be done to be helpful. Bravo !!!!

Keep up the find work that you do.....
